• Detox your Brain

I don’t know about you; but, for me, when I think about fitness, my focus is on working out, going to the gym, changing my eating habits, and a cleanse now and then. One of things I never thought about cleansing, or “Detoxing”, is my brain. How about you?

Did you know 75% to 95% of illnesses are a direct result of your thought life?  What you think about directly affects the protein in your brain.  It’s an epidemic of TOXIC thoughts. Your brain processes more than 3000 thoughts per day, fostering an epidemic of illness.  YOU make yourself sick!  Fear alone triggers more than 1400 physical and chemical responses.  It’s not only emotional, it’s Spiritual.  Leading Neuropsychologist, Caroline Leaf, suggests, “there are intellectual and medical reasons to FORGIVE”.  (“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind”/2 Timothy 1:7).

Many of us “detox” our bodies for optimal health.  Have you considered detoxing your brain?  It’s your most vital organ.  Your body, literally, follows your brain. If you think sick (negative) thoughts, eventually your body will become sick. Science suggests that toxic thoughts contribute to illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, asthma, skin disease, and allergies.  Just as “you are what you eat”, your brain becomes what you feed it.

You can consciously control your thought life by “thinking about what you think about” and start DETOXING YOUR BRAIN!!! Detox your brain by taking control of your mental processes. Think healthy, life-sustaining thoughts. Read positive information. I will never forget how positively Norman Vincent Peale’s book, The Power of Positive Thinking, changed my life during very dark days. Read your Bible…It’s transforming! Meditate on positive thoughts and uplifting music. Take a walk at one of the park’s in Fishers, Avon, and Indianapolis, and take in their beauty. Visit your Mei Fitness for a refreshing workout, inspirational music, and friends. Seek more information from Dr. Caroline Leaf on YouTube.

Dr. Leaf suggests, it’s not only physical, it’s spiritual. Her studies support that the spirit controls the soul, which controls the mind, which controls the brain. There has recently been a huge shift of the opinions of Scientist’s around the world as a result of Dr. Leaf’s research. New evidence suggests there is a Universal Designer, A Creator…A Creator with a Spirit and a mind who gives us free will to choose our thoughts.

My question to you is…is it really “new”? Scripture tells us, “So God created mankind in his own image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:7); and, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God…” The evidence is not new…it’s just newly received!

It’s Spiritual Warfare…a battle of the mind…a battle of our thoughts…a battle of good vs. evil. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). “For the flesh sets its desire against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh, for these are in opposition to one another” (Galatians 5:17).

If you believe in God…If you believe God’s word to be true…He can help you “detox” your brain. Scriptures says, “Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above (the heavenly things), not on things that are on the earth (which only have temporal value) (Colossians 3:2); and, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things” (Phillipians 4:8). As a result, the best is yet to come as God promises in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”…if you “fix your thoughts” on HIM! 800-479-6710
