• Benefits of Using a Sauna

    Our sauna is a great way to relax and unwind after a work out! In the winter months, it is also a great way to warm up from the cold. We infuse our water with 100% pure peppermint essential oil to create a fresh and inviting atmosphere.
    Here some benefits of using the sauna:
    • Sweat out toxins
    o Due to heat of sauna, core body temperature rises. Then blood vessels dilate and increased blood flow speeds up the body’s natural healing process.
    • Heart health
    o With repeated sauna use we condition our hearts to improve rate and cardiovascular output.
    • Reduce incidence of cold/illness
    o Makes your body produce more white blood cells to prevent sickness.
    • Relieve stress
    o The heat from our sauna stimulates the release of endorphins
    • Cleanses skin
    o Flush out dirt and oil – dead skin cells are replaced. Improves skin elasticity, rinses out bacteria and relieves facial tension.
    • Burn calories
    o The sweating process requires a lot of energy thus burning extra calories!
    Saunas are a great way to start or end your day! It isn’t recommended to bring your phone in as it could overheat but there is a timer on the wall for your convenience. It is suggested to not stay in the sauna more than 15 minutes at a time to prevent overheating.
