Rest and active recovery is actually really beneficial with making your workouts be much more worthwhile.

When I say rest and recovery, I’m not saying you don’t need to move, you absolutely do!

Walking, stretching, yoga, bike rides, all of these lower intensity activities are underrated. We get caught up in the idea that if we don’t sweat we are wasting our time.

Truth is we are all at different levels of fitness. Our bodies need movement. Period.
.
Take those days that you don’t have time to fit in a workout and do 5,10,15 minutes of something.
You’ll be glad you did. A little is always better than nothing!

This is part of my everyday stretching routine. Even if I don’t workout, and I didn’t yesterday! I still do some version of this…preferably in the morning.

It doesn’t have to be a lot, just start somewhere and build that habit into your day. Then see how you feel. Healthy habits make a healthy body! There’s no better time than now to get healthier!
